I haven't participated in all the missions, but I have done a few and I try SO HARD and I never win. Every time I think I'm going to win something for my hard work I never do and I get sad. Sometimes I think people lie about what they do because it's so easy (the way the logging thing is). And with this new mission it would be so easy to lie because you don't have to supply a url or anything (since your just chatting on AIM). I could simply lie and log that I talked to tons of people, but I want to win something honestly. What do you guys think?

I'll admit I've lied on it a few times before.....and well I've never won anything
I'm actually starting to wonder if they actually have prizes...I mean as far as we know nobody has won anything on the boards....and well everyone on the boards are her main fans...so iuno

Allison

Posters, shirts, Cds, stuff like that

I'd be really interested to hear if anyone has won anything, and if so, what they won. If nobody on here has won anything I can't imagine who out there is winning stuff!

I'm pretty sure people lie. It's kind of annoying for the people who actually promote Skye.

no doubt lazy people will lie, some of those prizes sound really nice so i'm sure there's quite a few people out there who barely lift a finger to help promote skye and just press the save button on the log page
i know that fanscape has the prizes that they say you can win (like the stickers and posters and tanks etc) but i dont know about winners...

i don't think anyone got any prizes.. i mean i have participated in most of the challenge but never heard of anyone who have won anything.

... but i will b honest i did lie a few times on my votes..

but hey i'm sure everyone has.... mayb... really.. who hear was honest about their votes? and their spreading the ord on AOL... a few months ago, not many people care about who Skye Sweetnam was, and they probably wouldn't care if we spread the word to them if they didn't like her based on her "Billy S." song.. grr.. i told them to listen to the whole cd and they'll see there's more to Skye Sweetnam then Shakespear. i got my best friend to listen to it and he now likes her... as he should cuz he tried to make me like britney spears but i only like a few songs.

I do think people do lie and make up stuff to win contests, but it could be other artists that people promote and help out too just not for Skye.
Like I do a lot of promotion and I try to do many contests as I can, but when I do, I never win, cuz it just seems that more people unlike me have more time to do it, esp when they have no job.
There's a contest I'm trying to do right now on Jerry's board, and I can't seem to win at all because the girl that is above me is winning, she has NO job, all she does is sit online 24/7, and it's easy for her to get people to join, but the main point I try to tell myself at least I tried.
ehh forget it I dunno what I'm saying lol!

I've never lied, while doing a mission, because I've never done a mission! I want to, though, but I don't know where to go to find out what the mission is.

Cheer up. Get this, alot of people doubt others due to having been burnt in the past. This doubt is amplified into mistrust if any requests are made. In life you will come to develope trust in certain individuals who've come through for you. The proof is in the pudding. Even as a fanzine who has helped promote many bands in Mosa's 6yr history. New folks I approach in the music industry often don't trust me. The only ones who do are the ones I've helped out in the past, who most have since left the music scene. I left the music scene for a year & half to concentrate on the arrival of my new family, but this summer have returned. The underground is full of new people. So here I am re-building my reputation. My advertiser still was interested in Mosa, who is hosting the concerts. Actually he'd been wondering what happened to me, why I disappeared. Others I've reconnected with as well. To refresh the rest of the Tulsa music scene I started putting on these FREE concerts. FREE help always breaks the ice for folks. My favorite song on your cd is Superficial. Never mind the invitation for you to show up. Since you're unknown here in Tulsa, my peeps have all requested your press-kit before they'll change their schedule. My mailing address has changed since I sent you that copy of Mosa, but if you e-me a response I'll give you my new address. I'm still playing your cd at my show.
